A Melbourne institution for over 25 years, Chongworld is led by the one and only Rose Chong, seamstress of the parish, fashion doyenne and celebrated flaneur of Fitzroy.

Most of our staff have been in continuous service since early childhood, and know no other world. Not only loyal and tirelessly obliging, they have also been rigorously trained in the costumier's discipline. They are perfectionists in detail, finicky to a fault, and expert in fitting and accessorizing every outfit to create a complete and very striking look. (Appearances may be deceptive, but partygoers do tend to take as much pleasure in selecting their costume here as they do in partying.)

We do also, of course, supply the trade in ample measure. Film makers, theatrical producers and TV commercial stylists nationwide have relied on our famous service and vast range of authentic period wear for over a quarter of a century, and our industry reputation is second to none.
